Like many Specimen notes in Eldorado, several of these are ex Amon Carter, Jr. collection. All seven dates of issue of this denomination P-393 design type in green and gray: 1944, 1945, 1947, 1950, 1951, 1953, and 1958. All have red 00000 serial numbers and are stamped SPECIMEN in red. All Gem Uncirculated 66 (2) or Superb Gem Uncirculated 67 (5). All have stunning colors on both sides. An incredible set across the board. The catalog value is steep for this set and the whole is worth more than the sum of the parts in our view.
