PMG Choice Very Fine 35.The previous census information according to Track and Price for this rare charter was just five large-size, all Original Series One Dollar notes. This becomes the sole known Two Dollar denomination for this short tenured National Bank which was organized in 1865 and went into receivership in 1872. The quality of the One Dollar notes is mostly Good to Very Good with a single lower end Very Fine among them. This near Extremely Fine note will certainly appeal as it will be considered the most desirable note available for the charter. Terrifically bold overprinting and banking signatures are seen, although the margins are tight, which is highly typical for the type. Auction appearances are incredibly seldom with just two of the five showing records in Track and Price and both being very low grade examples. Our estimate may well prove conservative when this rare New York offering crosses the auction block.
