T-4. Confederate Currency. 1861 $50. PCGS Very Fine 35.,No. 735, Plate A. These National Bank Note Company printed fifties were the last of four design types issued while the Confederate capital was located in Montgomery. They were high quality notes printed with engraved steel plates. The present specimen was issued from Charleston on July 1st, 1861 by Confederate Assistant Treasurer B.C. Pressley whose neatly penned inscription is found on the back of the note. The appeal offered on this note is wonderful with strong green color and still sharp design detail throughout. A repair at the upper left is observed with PCGS Currency stating "Repairs," in the comments section of the holder. A wonderful match to the $100 note we are also offering.,,
