Lot of (3) Remainder Notes.,A fascinating lot of three scrip notes that should be of interest to any fan of American beer. David Gottlieb Yuengling opened Eagle Brewery on Center Street in Pottsville in 1829. In 1873 David Jr. joined his fathers brewery business and the name was changed to D.G. Yuengling and Son. Today, D.G. Yuengling and Son is Americas oldest operating brewery with Yuengling Lager as their flagship brand. Each of the three notes displays a bald eagle on a shield at center. The bald eagle has been a symbol of the Yuengling company since 1829. Each note has different imagery on the left end with a man leaning on a shovel on the 10 cent, the bust of an Indian with headdress reminiscent of an Indian head cent on the 25 cent and a locomotive with hopper cars on the 50 cent. Each note is totally unissued with three small POCs seen on the 50 cent example.,,
