His service records tell us that he served in Wauls Legion under Brigadier General Thomas Neville Waul. Wauls Legion is known for repelling the Union Army breach of Confederate lines during the Battle of Vicksburg in 1863. Moderate circulation is displayed along with a neatly penned manuscript endorsement from Adams on the back of the note. The grading service cites ink burn in their Net grade. The only other sale we can trace of an Adams issued note is from a September 2013 auction where one realized $1527.50.,,
