1860 Abraham Lincoln. DeWitt-AL 1860-41. Copper. 27.7 mm. About Uncirculated.,Glossy olive brown with faded tan highlights close to the rims and portrait. A few light old marks and a faint scratch in the fields are noted for accuracy, but they have long since toned over. Sharp and attractive. The reverse of this small-format Rail-splitter is very interesting as it includes another man, seemingly holding a wedge while Lincoln swings the hammer. The man bears a striking resemblance to the presidential opponent, Stephen Douglas.,From the Brian Dobbins Collection of American Political Tokens.
