A remarkably high grade survivor of this issue. Fully lustrous light yellow gold with frosty surfaces and exquisite visual appeal. Not fully struck at centers and showing a small lamination at D of GRANADA, but free of post striking issues and arguably deserving of a higher grade. Similar quality to the Frank Sedwick coin, an NGC MS-64 that brought $5,175 in 2011, and finer than the Eliasberg MS-62 (NGC). This was the very first gold coin acquired to build the present collection. From the Eldorado Collection of Colombian and Ecuadorian Coins.<p>Acquired in December 1967.
