An attractive Cartagena series with four denominations. Remainder notes from the banco were provisionally overprinted in 1899 by the Banco Nacional. A small format type. There were notes printed three times for this denomination at the ABNCo. 12,000 were authorized in December 1882, 20,000 in December 1884, and 25,000 in October 1887. No series letter. Light brown tint and back. Ship at center. Both are fresh proofs and vibrant. Uncirculated. From the Eldorado Collection of Colombian Paper Money.
