1874 Trade Dollar. MS-63 (PCGS).;This satiny and radiant 1874 trade dollar has delicate pink and cobalt blue toning toward the rims. As the most plentiful chopmarked Philadelphia Mint trade dollar, the 1874 clearly saw widespread use in the China trade. Most of the coins shipped to the Orient were subsequently melted, and even circulated survivors are scarce in the context of this series. In Mint State the 1874 is rare and underrated. The present example ranks among the finest that we have offered in recent sales.;
