1861 Liberty Seated Silver Dollar. Proof-64 Cameo (PCGS).；This is a lovely Choice Proof that features bold cameo contrast between satiny devices and mirrored fields. Fully struck and untoned, this is a captivating specimen that would do equally well in a high quality type or date set. From a mintage of 1,000 Proof silver dollars for the date, many of which were likely released into commerce in later years when they failed to sell to contemporary collectors. In fact, it is possible that no more than 350 examples were actually distributed to numismatists, and the present example is certainly among the finest certified survivors.；
