1852 Liberty Seated Half Dollar. WB-2. Rarity-4. MS-64 (PCGS).;Vividly toned surfaces are splashed with steel-blue, charcoal-russet and reddish-apricot iridescence. Universally sharp in strike with intense satin luster, both sides are exceptionally well preserved and attractive for an issue that is elusive in all grades. The 1852 is a low mintage, California Gold Rush era half dollar with just 77,130 coins struck. Most survivors, of which there are few, are either in AU or Mint State grades, indicative of the fact that this issue did not see active circulation at the time of delivery. With many examples melted, in fact, this conditionally rare near-Gem represents a particularly important find for the advanced collector.;
