This is one of the greatest Colorado discoveries to surface in recent years and a charter that has never been offered for public sale until this evening. The Peoples National Bank of Pueblo was the second of seven banks to open and was by far the most unsuccessful.

This offering is nothing short of a miracle with just a mere $165 out in 1910. The bank was chartered on February 10th, 1874 and was open for less than a year closing its doors on January 12th, 1875. They issued a total of $27,000 in $1, $2, and $5 denomination Original Series notes only. The other example known is listed in the National Bank Note Census as a Good to Very Good and has never been offered in public sale according to records.

This peach is seen with very strong body throughout although minor restoration of what appears to be a corner tear at bottom left is noted by PMG. Incredible sharp banking signatures remain and nice margins are welcomed. Certainly an item that will receive tremendous attention and a charter that will likely remain to the two notes known for as long as we can foresee.

,
