As a contemporary of Peter The Great and within the same realm of influence, it is not surprising that Friedrich August I (also known as Augustus II the Strong) was an ally with Russia in the Great Northern War during which time this Klippe was struck. The royal monogram is featured on the obverse, with the fields exhibiting generous amounts of original mint luster. The reverse depicts a shooting range with blossoms in the corners of the flan.
