An appealing example of this much sought after enormous gold Sovereign issue, from one of Britains most popular and admired rulers. Well made and sharp, though with slight weakness in the highest portions and with minor die erosion evident in the facial details. Delicate apricot toning accentuates the devices nicely, both sides.
