1786 Connecticut Copper. Miller 5.2-H.1, W-2545. Rarity-6. Mailed Bust Left. Good Details--Cleaned (PCGS).145.8 grains. Attractive olive brown surfaces are mostly hard and glossy. Some light obverse hairlines, a couple of small reverse natural flaws and a small clip are noted. The obverse of this variety often comes weak due to the late obverse die state. The reverse is a better indicator of condition, and it is respectably sharp here, at least through the upper half. It is clearly well centered, and the date digits are easily seen with the coin in hand. Far better surfaces than most seen.<p>PCGS# 686832. BASE PCGS# 331.
