EASTERN HAN: bronze money tree (134g), ca. 11.5 x 19.5cm, known in Chinese as yao qian shu, comprising a central sprue topped with a human figure and set on a hollow base, four branches to either side, the first three ending in an animal, the lowest one ending in a round coin, each attached by a chain to a small figure, often used as funerary objects in the Han and Jin eras, Fine, ex Dr. Dirk Löer Collection, ex Teutoburger Münzauktion Auction 58, Lot 4070.
