PMG About Uncirculated 53.直隶地名。此枚出自1912年由大清银行改组成立的中国银行所发行的标志性系列，票面採用中华民族始祖黄帝像，象徵汉民族自满清统治中解放的历史意义。作为国家银行，中国银行虽在云南、广东、北京、四川等地广设分行，但直隶分行纸钞存世极罕，目前已知壹圆仅存一至二枚，伍圆及拾圆更仅见一枚样票存在。本品流通痕迹轻微，印色饱满，纸身挺括，虽有细微针孔仍无减其珍贵，实为民国纸钞收藏家不可错过的殿堂级珍品。PMG唯一之评级纪录，堪称孤品。PMG备注针孔。Chihli. A phenomenal rarity from this iconic and popular issue. The Bank of China was renamed from the Ta Ching Government Bank in 1912, and the new series featured Huangdi, the First Emperor, a legendary figure in Chinese folklore. This choice was likely made in the face of the Chinese nation, comprising mainly of the Han ethnic group, being freed from the ethnic Manchu Qing Dynasty, which had ruled China from 1644 to 1911. The Bank, with the ambitions of being a National Bank, established many branches with Yunnan, Canton, Peking, Szechuen being the more commonly seen branches. The Chihli branch, however, is extremely rare with only one or two examples of the issued 1 Dollar known and one example of the 5 and 10 Dollars as expedient specimens. This note has seen limited circulation, retaining full colours and nice paper quality, despite the presence of a few small pinholes. Overall, an excellent note and a fantastic opportunity for the keen collector of Republic of China banknotes, especially those focusing on this series.
