A fairly elusive and <strong>RARE</strong> type in gold, this fantasy issue presents the frontal bust of the Empress Dowager on the obverse and, on the reverse, a good luck symbol surrounded by five bats--also indicative of auspiciousness. Though the rims are slightly repaired as noted, likely from time spent as a jewelry piece, this specimen otherwise lacks any evidence of wear across the high points, and retains a great deal of enticing brilliance.
