Incredibly elusive and <strong>RARE</strong>, this issue, <em>treated by some as a pattern issue, and by others (CL) as a regular (if not still somewhat special) emission</em>, features a ping under the spade on the reverse, allowing it to be distinguished from other issues circulating in the Ping-chin market. Exceedingly difficult to encounter, this example features a pale copper hue, intense brilliance, and clear detailing in the mintmark that sets it apart. An immensely impressive and important issue for the copper Republican series, and a type that we have not yet offered in the past.
