A <strong>VERY RARE</strong> pattern minor that exhibits just some light breaks of luster, this wholesome specimen represents just the second example of the type that we have offered, with a similarly-preserved piece (<em>also assessed by PCGS as SPECIMEN-55</em>) realizing a total of $60,000 in our October 2023 Hong Kong Auction (Lot #30249). Boldly struck and remaining quite captivating, this specimen features a right-facing military bust of Chiang Kai-shek and was issued just before the Kuomintang forces fled the mainland for Taiwan.
