1786 New Jersey Copper. Maris 24-P, W-4965. Rarity-2. Curved Plow Beam, Narrow Shield, Blundered Six. AU-53 (PCGS). 157.1 grains. Fresh and glossy surfaces still display some mint frost, with lovely light brown surfaces highlighted by tones of olive and gold. Nice centering and strike, exceptional visual appeal. Some minor verdigris remains among the details of the reverse periphery, well-hidden dig seen below O of NOVA. This is a well made and well preserved coin. There are a fair number of high grade Maris 24-Ps around, making this a good choice as a type coin. PCGS# 801855. From the E Pluribus Unum Collection.
