Dark brown and showing a uniformly granular, earthen patina where the surface texture has not been worn away at the high points. Ringos was slightly sharper and with similar surfaces, and Newmans was a gorgeous near EF example with choice surfaces, while two of the three examples of this variety that appear in our archives appear to be finer than Syds.
