Beautiful, vividly toned surfaces exhibit golden-rose and powder blue undertones to dominant steel-olive patina. From a mintage of 31 examples in silver, 30 of which were delivered during fiscal year 1897 and one of which is a restrike from 1906. Far finer than the silver JK AC-41 in the Keusch Collection (Stacks, November 2008, lot 5282), which was cataloged as About Uncirculated, with several edge nicks and bruises on both sides.
