From a <strong>RARE</strong> date, this example is only the second we have offered in the past decade or so. Rich gray patina is present on a characteristically oblong flan with the final two digits in the date fully clear. The cross is relatively well defined at the center, but does display flatness in the castles and lions. Upon closer inspection, numerous pin scratches can be witnessed on both faces, but they have long since toned over and blend nicely with the rest of the coin. Though it does have some shortcomings, specialists should rejoice at the opportunity to acquire such a seldom encountered issue.
