JUSTIN I and JUSTINIAN I, 527. AE Decanummium, Constantinople Mint. NGC VG. Smoothing. S-126B. Obverse: Diademed, draped, and cuirassed bust right; Reverse: Large I; star to left and right; cross above; CON in exergue. A SCARCE one-year type dating from the short period in which Justin and Justinian reigned together as co-emperors prior to the formers imminent death. Exhibiting extensive use in commerce and evidence of smoothing, but nonetheless a satisfying example.
