元/明朝大中通宝一组15枚，包括13枚一文，背浙，二文及五文，一文VF至EF，二文中乾评真品，五文评中乾80，大中通宝由朱元璋於 1361 年在应天府（今南京）為吴王时发行，共分為两类，以其登基作分界线，登基后之钱币（从 1371 年开始铸造）在背面铸有造币厂名（如这批背浙），以及有三文或更高之面值。China: Yuan/Ming Dynasty, Da Zhong Tong Bao, (1368-1644), group of 15 coins consisting of: 1 cash (13), 2 of which have the Chinese character Zhe on reverse, 2 cash, 28.4x1.8mm, 4.5g and 5 cash, 40x2.3mm, 14.0g, the 1 cash coins very fine to extremely fine, the 2 cash Zhong Qian Geneuine and the 5 cash Zhong Qian 80. Da Zhong Tong Bao coins were issued by Zhu Yuan Zhang from 1361 when he was King of Wu based in Ying Tian Prefecture (modern day Nanjing). The series is separated into two issues: before and after he became emperor. The later series (struck from 1371) shows the mint name on reverse (e.g. the coins with Zhe in this lot) and also the denomination on 2 cash or higher. . (15) [166-170]
