BOLIVIA. Cob 4 Reales, ND (1578-86)-P. Potosi Mint; Assayer Juan Ballesteros (B). Philip II. PCGS Genuine--Damage, EF Details.KM-4.2; Cal-525. Weight: 13.52 gms. Variety with 5 fleurs de lis. A handsome and darkly toned 4 Reales piece. Although most of the legend is off-flan, the obverse preserves bold mintmark, assayer, and denomination marks. The noted damage is on the reverse, with some corroded surfaces and a pair of tiny punches along the rim. The coin presents well overall, however, with much detail to appreciate. To view all items from the Pat Johnson Collection, click here. From the Pat Johnson Collection.
