Lunar animals within circular borders, six around the central square hole with the six around with clouds between; Reverse: Daoist scene. This decently preserved example displays rich mottled brown patina with minor earthen deposits amongst the devices. The surfaces are relatively smooth, but do retain some of the naturally rough surface texture in the protected areas. Close inspection of the devices on both side reveals a tastefully repaired hole that was blended nicely. Despite its shortcomings a presentable example of the type that is pleasing to the eye.
