GREAT BRITAIN. Victoria Coronation Bronze Medal, 1838. PCGS SPECIMEN-64. BHM-1842; Eimer-1313a. By W. J. Taylor or J. Davis. Diameter: 49mm. Obverse: Crowned head left; Reverse: Victoria seated facing on throne, holding cruciform scepter and extending hand toward orb; to left, Commerce and Britannia; to right, Justice and Abundance. Edge: Plain. Light brown overall, and with a good deal of shimmering brilliance evident in the fields and especially near the rims, this coronation commemorative is rather SCARCE and not often encountered. For completeness, a few minor spots of corrosion are noted on the obverse, but are not overly distracting. To view all items from the Mark and Lottie Salton Collection, click here. From the Mark and Lottie Salton Collection.
