1919-S Walking Liberty Half Dollar. AU-58 (PCGS). CAC. A pearlescent Choice AU example with rose-gray toning seen over portions of both sides. The fields are remarkably satiny and smooth, with just a trace of handling across the design high points. A key date Liberty Walking half dollar even in circulated grades, the 1919-S has a mintage of just 1,552,000 pieces. In Mint State, it is the second rarest issue of the type after the 1921-S, though even near-Mint examples are scarce. Most survivors show numerous wispy abrasions and excessive softness of strike in the prime focal areas. Strong bids are encouraged for this superior piece. PCGS# 6579. NGC ID: 24R2.
