1887 Gold Dollar. MS-67 (PCGS). A fully impressed, highly lustrous beauty displaying blended pale rose and deep orange colors. So smooth as to be virtually pristine, this is conditionally rare survivor of the low mintage (7,500 pieces) circulation strike 1887 gold dollar. One of the more challenging issues of its era to locate in high grades, the 1887 is rarer than the 1881, 1883, 1888 and, especially, 1889 at the finest levels of Mint State preservation. A significant bidding opportunity for astute gold enthusiasts. PCGS# 7588. NGC ID: 25DS. PCGS Population: 32; 9 finer (MS-68 finest).
