1897-S Morgan Silver Dollar. MS-66 (PCGS). Both sides of this handsome piece exhibit a base of light antique silver patina, with overtones of soft powder blue, reddish-copper and antique gold iridescence on the obverse. Boldly to sharply struck with full mint luster. The 1897-S is a somewhat scarce San Francisco Mint Morgan dollar in lower Mint State grades that becomes notably scarce at the MS-66 level. Astute collectors would be hard pressed to do better than the offered coin. PCGS# 7250. NGC ID: 2567.
