A product of Colts Patent Firearms Manufacturing Co., and struck from a newly identified fourth reverse die that is not included in the 2012 edition of Roger W. Burdettes United States Pattern & Experimental Pieces of WW-II. The RB 42-56a attribution will be included in the next edition of the authors work but, in the meantime, this piece is incorrectly attributed on the PCGS insert as RB 42-56.
