拍品描述： 民国十年徐世昌像纪念银币。 齿边。徐世昌肖像于正面，反面为凉亭，底部有铭文。虽有清洗痕迹于肖像的头部左侧，整体银白币面，类镜面打铸，正面深金色包浆。备受追捧的版别，曾以为是样币，现在看来更像是纪念章，原准备于北京协和医学院开幕时送出。初版设计凉亭下方留空，用于雕铸受赠人姓名，后因在铸造第一批时发现操作困难而改铸"纪念币"三字。

CHINA. Dollar, Year 10 (1921). PCGS Genuine--Cleaned, Unc Details. L&M-864; K-676; WS-0101. Reeded edge variety. Obverse: President Hsu Shih Chang in formal attire facing slightly left; Reverse: Pavilion at Peking Union Medical College Hospital with legend at the bottom. Despite the noted cleaning designation, which in essence emanates from a few marks to the side of the presidents head, this alluring specimen offers a great prooflike nature as well as some deep golden toning on the obverse.<p><em>An incredibly popular and desirable type believed to have been a pattern issue, it now appears that these were, in fact, more medallic in nature, and meant to be given out upon the opening of the Peking Union Medical College (PUMC). Initially designed with a blank field below the pavilion for recipients names to be engraved, the design was altered to contain the three struck characters instead, as the engraving proved difficult on the initial batch.</em> From the Stephen K.
