Obverse: Zulu shield over spears and set upon shield; above, ball of feathers with ostrich plume to each side; all within laurel and palm wreath; Reverse: DINIZULU INKOS KA ILIZWE AMAZULU (<em>Dinizulu, King of the country of the Zulu</em>) / EMNYATI 1885, central field left blank for engraving to awardee and between UKU (<em>to</em>) and BGOKUBA FANELA (<em>for merit</em>). <em>Edge</em>: Clasp removed at the top, otherwise plain. Deep brown surfaces, with some scattered scuffs and marks, and a few subtle bruises to the rims. Nevertheless, a <strong>VERY RARE</strong> medal pertaining to service under Dinuzulu kaCetshwayo, king of the Zulu nation from 1884 until 1913.
