1904 Barber Quarter. MS-65 (PCGS). The surfaces are richly toned with golden bronze and navy blue patina. Razor sharp to full striking detail is evident throughout, as is a full mint frost. With a generous mintage of 9,588,143 coins and an above average rate of survival, the 1904 is not a major rarity in the circulation strike Barber quarter series. It is, however, the among the scarcer Philadelphia Mint issues of the design type in the finest Mint State grades. Just 13 have been graded finer in this category.
