1899 Barber Quarter. MS-66 (PCGS). CAC. An enchanting premium quality Gem dressed in a bold blend of pearl-gray, rose-apricot, powder blue and pale gold patina. The surfaces are frosty and smooth throughout, the strike razor sharp from the rims to the centers. Circulated and lower end Mint State survivors of the 1899 are plentiful by 1890s Barber quarter standards. As an upper end MS-66, however, this issue is a noteworthy condition rarity. This is one of the nicest examples of the issue that we can ever recall handling, and it is worthy of the strongest bids.
