1922 No D Lincoln Cent. FS-401, Die Pair II. Strong Reverse. AU-53 (PCGS). All specialists in the series know the three die pairs for the 1922 No D and Weak D varieties. As Bill Fivaz and J.T. Stanton note, however, <em>"...die pair 2 is the only pair recognized by most specialists, and most grading services.</em>" This lightly circulated example will surely attract attention from collectors, since it is a solid representative of this ever-coveted die marriage. We find surfaces entirely brown in color. For a coin that saw seven points of wear, we find it remarkable that this little coin has managed to endure the course of time with so few abrasions.
