1915 Lincoln Cent. MS-67+ RD (PCGS). This exquisite Superb Gem exhibits wonderfully original mint color in vivid pinkish-rose and medium orange shades. Fully struck with a lovely satin to softly frosted texture, both sides are silky smooth and border on pristine. More challenging than its status as a Philadelphia Mint issue from a mintage of 29,092,120 pieces might imply, the 1915 is scarce in the finer circulated and Mint State grades. This is one of the finest certified survivors, the primary plate coin for the issue on the PCGS CoinFacts website, and the highest graded circulation strike 1915 cent that we have ever offered. The PCGS Population Report lists just 3 at this level with one finer, none of which have ever sold at auction. A beautiful, rare and highly significant coin that would do justice to the finest Lincoln cent collection on the PCGS Set Registry.
