An EXTREMELY RARE and quite possibly UNIQUE pattern issue that emanates from a remarkable series of such patterns that we are offering for the first time. This represents the only such example seen at NGC, with none having been seen at PCGS. This design was ultimately selected for the silver 5 Yuan type struck in 1992 [series 2] (KM-460). Intensely robust and radiantly brilliant, this enticing larger-format pattern presents an alluring cameo nature. Just a few subtle spots on the reverse are likely all that prevent perfection.
