1909 Indian Quarter Eagle. MS-65+ (NGC). CAC. A simply outstanding Indian quarter eagle irrespective of date or issuing mint, both sides are bathed in a rich blend of frosty luster and vivid deep rose patina. Sharply struck, as well, and truly a delight to behold. One of the more underrated Indian quarter eagles, the second year 1909 is the third rarest issue of the type in Mint State after the 1911-D and 1914. As a premium quality Gem the present coin is a significant condition rarity that is worthy of inclusion in an advanced collection of 20th century U.S. Mint gold coinage.
