CHINA. Hunan. Brass 10 Cash Pattern, ND (1902). PCGS SPECIMEN-64 Red Brown Gold Shield.CL-HUN.92; KM-Pn5; CCC-192 (the plate coin). A gorgeous, lustrous brass Pattern with needle-sharp design details and warm, burnt orange mint luster in the fields. VERY RARE, we are aware of only one other example of this type; that coin, the CL plate coin, hammered for RMB 805,000 (approximately $120,000) when it last sold in 2011. This piece, seemingly at least its equal, could certainly challenge that piece, as the opportunity might not present itself again for this generation.
