CHINA. Chihli (Pei Yang). Dollar, Year 23 (1897). PCGS Genuine--Repaired, VF Details Gold Shield.L&M-444; K-186; KM-Y-65.1; WS-0611. Triangular eyes variety. A RARE type, this example does exhibit some damage in the form of repair to some surface scuffing, but nevertheless presents a charming deep gray tone that covers most of these marks. A great overall representation of a very difficult type in higher grades.
