光绪通宝天下太平宫钱。重:37.33克。大型。正面:光绪通宝;反面:天下太平。边缘雕刻细腻,底板带自然粗糙,有些地方有被巧妙磨平。可见锉边,仅有一小部分没有且见粗糙,应为后铸品。非常赏心悦目的一枚,棕色包浆浓郁,诋许积土于图文间,值得为其千金一掷。

Obverse: "Guang Xu tong bao"; Reverse: "Tian Xia Tai Ping" (Heaven below Great Peace - Peace on Earth). The handsomely designed rims were tastefully engraved exhibiting artistry and craftsmanship that is most appropriate for its intended purpose. The open fields display a naturally rough surface texture as normally found on higher grade currency issue Cash pieces, though a few small areas show signs of being expertly smoothed mentioned for accuracy. Also mentioned is that the edge exhibits file marks all the way around the circumference with a small area the does not have any file marks and shows a rough texture, which is indicative of being a later made piece. A very attractive example displaying rich brassy and brown patina with minor earthen deposits amongst the devices adding to its originality and eye appeal worthy of a premium bid.With an old collectors 2.5 x 2.5 cardboard holder indicating that it was purchased 7/10-11/71.
