Fou bao, seven stroke bei variety. Obverse: "Xian Feng yuan bao"; Reverse: "Dang bai" (Value One Hundred). A well preserved and pleasantly engraved example done by a skillful and artistic individual. Minor earthen deposits amongst the devices and crevasses mentioned for accuracy. Lovely mottled brassy patina throughout with good eye appeal. A neat survivor with lots of character displaying finely engraved surfaces adding to the allure of such a piece sure to see spirited bidding from the specialist.
