1827 N-3 R2 PCGS graded MS63 Brown. Frosty tan and light steel brown with puffs of darker bluish steel brown toning on both sides. Mint luster covers the fields and this cent has mint state eye appeal in spite of a touch of friction on the highpoints. There are a few microscopic contact marks in the field off the end of the nose and a dull rim nick at the second A in AMERICA. MDS. The fields are satiny from microscopic die flowlines and the fine die crack through stars 1-6 is clear. The always-present jagged die cracks on the neck are obvious. Noyes photo #60954 (not yet graded). Our grade is AU50+, very close to AU55. The attribution and Dan Holmes provenance are noted on the PCGS label. PCGS #36844. Pop 1; only 2 examples graded higher at PCGS for the variety, 1 in 64, 1 in 66. <DOTLEADER> Estimated Value $1,200 - UP <I><BR>Ex Joe V.
