1827 N-1 R2 NGC graded MS63 Brown. Frosty tan and light brown with steel brown toning on the highpoints. Satiny luster shows in the fields on both sides and this cent has mint state eye appeal in spite of a touch of rub on the highest points of the devices. The only notable marks are a small spot of darker toning under the left top of the T in CENT and another on the right foot of the second A in AMERICA. E-MDS. There are fine radial die flowlines in the fields off the dentil tips but no crumbling in the dentils at stars 5 & 6. Graded AU50 and tied for CC#3 in the Noyes census, his photo #27746. Bland says AU55. Our grade is AU50+. The attribution is noted on the NGC label. <DOTLEADER> Estimated Value $800 - UP <I><BR>Ex Joseph H. Rose, Harmer Rooke 3/15/1990:271-J. R.
