CANADA. 50 Cents, 1932. Ottawa Mint. PCGS SPECIMEN-62 Gold Shield. KM-25a. An exceptional RARITY and the second finest of three known, with the finest being the Belzberg coin which resides in a PCGS SP-64 holder. This piece, rather unusual in its presentation, was once lightly cleaned on the obverse, with thin hairlines now traversing the fields. The reverse however is nothing short of pristine, without even the faintest sign of past handling, perhaps suggesting this coin was once used in a display, with the obverse facing out. Had the obverse seen the same care, wed likely see a valuation in the range of $50,000. As it is, this treasure is sure to be a notable advancement is someones collection at a fraction of the cost. Ex: Cornerstone Collection.
