A magnificent coin, which remains virtually pristine to the eye, with no handling of any consequence within the rich, satiny fields and absolutely pinpoint detail inside the intricately designed bust of George V and coat-of-arms that comprise the reverse design. Vivid apricot-hued tone compliments the appearance and adds additional character, with noteworthy swaths appearing on the obverse and more subdued instances on the reverse. Altogether, an elite coin that is sure to propel any collection of advancement to even higher heights. emWith a freshly crowned king, and a desire to conform to the monetary system used just to the south in the United States, the Canadian $5 gold coin was born. Alongside its $10 partner, a handful of presentation strikes were made to compliment the years circulating mintage in 1912.
