This note bears a bold signature at bottom right, with three serial numbers, one at top right, left of center at bottom and one horizontal in the left margin. The 5 Pesos note is generally scarcer to locate than the 1 Peso note issued by the Philippines Republic. This note was issued by the Philippines government starting in 1899, after the Philippines declared their Independence, and were out of circulation in 1902 after the Philippines surrendered to the United States.
